.Joana is aptly able to move between different genres, such as fashion forward films like in her recent work in “A Death in the Family”, nominated at the Nederlands Film Festival. She played a quirky bachelorette in the short film “Screwed” with the independent label IFAN company. She also landed the role of a police officer and mother in the short film “The Binoculars” for the London Film School.

Joana’s versatility stems from the environment she has grown up in. Daughter of a French diplomat father and Brazilian mother, she was born in France, grew up in the United States and South America, and speaks French, English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently. Currently based in Amsterdam, she regularly practices yoga, and loves to play video games.

Born and raised in the four corners of the world, Joana’s capacity to adapt has been a great advantage in helping prepare her for the versality required for the acting world in all it’s forms. She is inspired by learning from the best in their fields, taking Masterclasses of the Chubbuck technique, or studying with Steven Ditmyer, renowned Acting Coach of the Meisner technique. She regularly performs with her Improvisation group in the close-knit Amsterdam Improv scene
