“Kato Kalatozishvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2006-2010 she studied at Tbilisi Theatre and Film University. After graduating she started to work at Royal District Theatre and Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre. As a leading actress, she’s known for roles in Women of Troy, Miss Julie, R+J, Prometheus, Top Girls, King Lear and many more.

Kato made her feature film debut in Stay With Me, directed by Zaza Urushadze. In 2017, she played in Rezo Gigineishvili’s Hostages, which premiered at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival. She also starred as Irina in Tamar Shavgulidze’s Comets, presented at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2019.

Kato has a new feature film Tear Gas soon to be released while continuing  actively perform in theatre, film, and TV.”
