Pete Stamatelatos is an American actor and filmmaker with Greek roots, known for his grounded, character-driven performances and passion for authentic storytelling.
Born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Pete spent part of his youth in Greece before returning to the United States, where he studied Psychology at Assumption College. He later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, training at the New York Film Academy and continuing his studies at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
On stage, he delivered a standout performance as Jason in David Lindsay-Abaire’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Rabbit Hole, directed by Allen Barton. Alongside his acting career, Pete has been deeply involved in independent filmmaking, producing and starring in multiple short films and web series.
He is the creator of the award-winning short film Bravo America (2023), which he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. The film has screened at international festivals and is currently being developed into a feature film and limited series.
Pete’s earlier film Sun Don’t Shine for Us also received multiple festival awards, further establishing his voice as a filmmaker.
Based between Rhode Island, Los Angeles, and Greece, Pete brings a strong cross-cultural perspective to his work. He is currently developing a Greek crime drama and continues to focus on bold, character-driven stories for both screen and television.
