Tomoko is an international actress born and raised in Japan, working across both the U.S. and Japanese film, television, and theatre industries.

Her screen credits include Cobra Kai (Netflix), Haunting in Silver Falls: Returns (Netflix), and Another Tango (Hallmark). She has also voiced a recurring role in the 2024 reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Nickelodeon) and appeared in music videos including Shawn Mendes’ Lost in Japan and AWOLNATION’s Woman Woman.

On stage, Tomoko has performed in a wide range of productions, including Balm in Gilead and Blood, both directed by Obie Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated director Robert Allan Ackerman. Her theatre work also includes Chekhov’s Three Sisters in Tokyo, as well as leading roles at the prestigious Tokyo Metropolitan Art Theater and Hero Theatre in Los Angeles.

Expanding into writing and directing, her short film Camellia – Kerria – Pink won Best Foreign Mini Film at the BPPI Film Festival and was a semifinalist at the Women Voice Now Film Festival. Her play Shizuka, which premiered in Los Angeles in 2022, received multiple nominations at the Broadway World Regional Awards, including Best Play, Best Director, Best Performer, and Best Costume.

With a strong foundation in movement and physical performance, Tomoko is trained in Japanese classical (Kabuki) dance, ballet, modern dance, singing, and martial arts including sword fighting, kickboxing, Wushu Kung Fu, and karate. Her work is defined by precision, versatility, and a powerful cross-cultural presence.
